Spring Musical Auditions
Does your child love to perform? Encourage them to participate in the Kids Town spring musical "iAM" and peruse their passion--for God! Auditions will be held Sunday, Jan. 27 during Crosstown, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Your children should come ready to sing and read a few lines. They also must be committed to attending regular rehearsals on Sunday nights if they want to participate. The musical will be held on Sunday, May 5.
Got a Dancer?!
GUESS WHAT?! A leading Christian production company has chosen Asbury for a National Video Shoot! Auditions will be held here at Asbury on Saturday, Feb. 2 and filming takes place in April. Dancers (ages 8 to 18) are needed. Sign your child up to audition--here's their chance to be #FAMOUS!
Registration is now open for boys and girls ages 4-10 years old. Cost: $100 (before noon, Feb. 22) which includes a T-shirt, socks, end-of-year award, pictures and game snacks. Games are held on Sundays afternoons at Asbury.
Worship Attendants Needed!
How do you instill faith that lasts a lifetime? Encourage your children to be involved in weekly worship. They can do that by serving as a Bible bearer, acolyte, or torch bearer. All kindergarten through fifth grade students can attend this training with Pastor Kip: Sunday, Jan. 27 at 4:30 p.m.
Save the Date!
Dust off those dancing shoes, dads. On Friday, Feb. 1, Asbury Kids Town is hosting its annual Daddy Daughter Dance from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Your registration fee ($40 per couple and $15 for each additional daughter) pays for a DJ, photo booth, awesome decorations, and yummy hors d’oeuvres!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6.
“Messy” is the theme this year at Exit 456, a retreat held every year by the North Alabama UM Conference at Camp Sumatanga. Tweens will learn that God can clean up messy situations and loves us no matter how messy our lives are or become. This retreat is open to fourth and fifth graders and registration closes Feb. 3.
Second Grade Bible Presentation
As part of Asbury’s mission to instill faith that last a lifetime, every second grader is given his or her very own Bible as part of the Milestones program. If you would like your second grader to receive a personalized Bible, please register now! The Bibles will be presented to students on Sunday, Feb. 24.
