What’s Happening at Kids Town?
Week of September 22-28, 2019
The September mission-of-the-month is Christmas Shoeboxes and our children will learn about this project, help fill shoeboxes with supplies, and pray for the children receiving the boxes. Join us tomorrow night from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Room 214. Parents, fill your parenting toolbox during the same time at Parent Connect in Room 144.
Let’s Go Downtown
All children, ages K5 to fifth grade, are invited to worship God through music and ministry this Wednesday night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Preschool children will make music together from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. (in Room 218) and then head to the nursery for free play.
Wednesday are called Grow Nights here at Asbury because adults and families have opportunities to grow in their faith. Interested in having dinner at Asbury before Grow Nights begin? Check out our chef-prepared Wednesday Night Dinners from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m.
Basketball & Cheerleading
Introduce your children to a new sport. Or, hone an athletic skill they already love! Registration is now open for K5-fifth grade boys and girls. Register before Oct. 17 and get the early bird price! Practices begin the week of November 11.
And princesses, pirates, ghosts, and goblins: Bring your parents to Asbury this Halloween!
We’ll have carnival rides, skary-oke, a cake walk, plus free popcorn, drinks, and of course, candy! Plus, for the first time ever, you can buy treats from one of four B’ham food trucks: City Bowls, Nuzzi Gelato, Little Donkey, and Eugene’s Hot Chicken.
Special needs children are invited to enjoy exclusive trunk-or-treat time from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. and visit our Shepherds Ministry tent throughout the event.
Asbury Members: Trunk or Treat is nothing without the trunks. To thank you for donating your time and resources, we’re giving away Iron Bowl tickets to the creators of the best trunk!
