Second Grade Bible Presentation
As part of Asbury’s Milestones program and mission to instill faith that last a lifetime, every second grader is given his or her very own Bible. If you would like your second grader to receive a personalized Bible, please contact Angie Gongwer. The Bibles will be presented to students on Sunday, Feb. 24.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6.
“Messy” is the theme this year at Exit 456, a retreat held every year by the North Alabama UM Conference at Camp Sumatanga. Tweens will learn that God can clean up messy situations and loves us no matter how messy our lives are or become. This retreat is open to fourth and fifth graders. Registration is now closed.
Get Ready for Asbury’s Annual Easter Event!
Chef Bill Marcie will kick things off with a homemade, biscuit-inspired breakfast that begins at 9:00 a.m. in the gym. At 9:45, an egg hunt on Asbury’s soccer fields will begin—kiddos who find a dozen eggs can exchange them for a stuffed bunny! Ride the trackless train, take a family picture at our photo booth and fellowship with fellow families!
